Allyn has demonstrated a string of successes in generating exponential revenue growth throughout his 25 years as a high tech Marketing Executive. His proven record includes the rapid growth of product revenue for 4 firms that have gone public or have been attractively acquired. His career and clients include Altera, Cypress Semiconductor, and Conexant as well as several start-ups. His specialty is the ability to filter through all the technical babble and determine the real value from the customer perspective and how to leverage it to make a company successful.
With a systems architecture background and technical acumen, Allyn speaks directly to prospective customer engineers to determine key system points that matter, and how to best develop new products that provide compelling competitive advantages. He is experienced in all phases of marketing; strategic marketing, product marketing, product management, tactical marketing, and marketing communications, and can hit the ground running within a week of the start of a new project.
Most recently, Allyn provided key strategic and tactical direction as the interim VP of Marketing for a microcap NASDAQ company and helped them grow from $10 M to $28 M in one year, after being stuck at the $10M revenue base for the previous 6 years. His market expertise is very broad and includes SaS software, semiconductors, internet, embedded systems, Internet data center systems, datacom, telecom, storage, imaging, displays, security, document imaging, PC peripherals, video systems, and multimedia systems.
Allyn has a BSEE from University of California at Santa Barbara and a MBA from San Diego State University.
